TriUnity Ministries

We commit our service, whether as professional or layperson, to God as a special calling.

We pledge to join together all that we do in service with Christian values, principles and guidelines.

We commit ourselves to Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Thus, we will constantly seek direction and wisdom from God, while accepting responsibility for our own actions and statements.

We acknowledge our need for the Body of Christ and its ministries and will seek accountability and support from fellow believers and the organized church as we pursue this ministry to those in need of His Truth.

We will accept clients without regard to race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, income, education, ethnic background, value system, etc., unless such a factor would interfere appreciably with our ability to be of service.

We value our God-given ability to choose, the sanctity of person hood, as well as our own personal freedom and responsibility.

We will avoid any male to female one on one counseling. If the counselor and client are of different sex, a third party must be present.

We will demonstrate utmost respect for the confidentiality of the client and other persons in a professional or pastoral relationship.

We will carefully protect the identity of clients and the details of their situations. Thus, we will avoid divulging information about clients, whether privately or publicly, unless we have received freely given, informed consent of the adult client or legal holder of confidentiality privilege for minor clients, in the form of expressed, written permission and the release of such information would be appropriate to the situation.

All records of counseling, teaching and research will be handled in a way that protects the clients and the nature of their situations from disclosure, as best we can.

The limits of confidentiality, such as those based on civil laws, regulations, and judicial precedent, will be explained to the client. Examples of limits or exceptions to confidentiality include such situations as: legal mandate, life threatening danger to the client or other persons.

We pledge to be well-trained and competent in providing services.

We will refrain from implying that we have qualifications, experiences, and capabilities which we do not possess.

We will diligently pursue additional education, experience, professional consultation, and spiritual growth in order to improve our effectiveness in serving persons in need.

We will do our best to be aware of our own human limitations and biases. We admit that we do not have complete objectivity or spiritual maturity. Thus, we also endeavor to maintain a relationship of mutual accountability with another Christian colleague, mentor or board member.

We will avoid fostering any misconception a client could have that we have all the answers.

We will refer clients whom we are not capable of ministering to, whether by lack of available time or expertise or because of subjective, personal reasons. The referral will be done compassionately, clearly, and completely, insofar as feasible.

We will resist efforts of any clients or colleagues to place demands for services on us that exceed our qualifications and/or the time available to minister or that would effect negatively our relationships with our own family, other persons, or God.

When necessary, we will seek out qualified individuals for consultation and help with a given client but will accept all responsibility for use or non use of any advice given. We choose to not hold the one from whom we seek consultation as liable for any consequences of our use or misuse of any information given.

We will encourage our client’s constructive peer relationships, encourage utilization of multiple provider resources, refer to appropriate consultation and adjunct treatments, and encourage and provide for the learning of requisite interpersonal discernment and social skills.

While recognizing the value of education and applying the generally accepted treatment principles used by professional therapists, our ministry approach also addresses the spiritual dynamics involved, by using the knowledge and understanding drawn from our own personal journey with the Lord, as well as that of others in spiritual Christian ministry. We combine various truth seeking approaches, including Basic TheoPhostic, Sozo and other truth seeking methods that ask God to bring truth to the false beliefs people hold. We also believe that there are a number of issues that should be addressed as we continue in the sanctification process. These include dealing with sin and spiritual bondage, which can come from generational permission, parental/caregiver permission, and /or personal permission. In addition, we recognize the need for personal discipleship and an ongoing need for all Christians to continue seeking His truth in every aspect of their lives.

Our approach does include elements of the clinical approach, but focuses more on the spiritual approach, as we believe that the Creator of our body, soul and spirit is also the Healer of our body, soul and spirit. This approach does not use regression, guided imagery, or hypnosis because these approaches can be counterproductive, and are usually ineffective in bringing the truths necessary for healing, wholeness and restoration.

We have chosen to “not be licensed” so that we will not be restricted in any way by state regulations when dealing with the spiritual dynamics of the client.

Ephesians 6:10-17
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
